matrix

Partner programme

30% of what every client you refer pays, every month for twelve months. Plus 25% off your own use.

The problem your clients have

An agent that fails rarely says so. It writes “Email sent to the customer” and stops.

This is measured, not anecdotal. In a study of agent runs on tau2-bench, 616 of 1,730 failed runs — 35.6% — ended with the agent claiming it had finished the task. On AppWorld, of 1,879 runs carrying an explicit completion claim, 1,425 were false.

Every monitoring tool misses this for one structural reason: they read the agent’s own trace. No exception was thrown, no tool returned an error, so the run is green. The dashboard is reporting the agent’s account of itself.

So the refund is never issued, the invoice never goes out, the lead is never followed up — and nobody finds out until the customer complains. When that happens, your client calls you. You built the workflow.

What Matrix does

It does not read the trace to decide whether the agent succeeded. It asks the system the agent claims to have acted on.

The agent says it emailed dana@northwind.example about the August invoice. Matrix connects to that mailbox, searches sent mail around the time of the run, and returns one of three verdicts: confirmed (the message is there, and matches), contradicted (the claim was made and the message does not exist), or inconclusive (it could not check, and says why).

That third verdict is what makes it usable. A tool that guesses when it cannot check produces false accusations, and one false accusation costs more trust than ten missed detections. Every verdict carries its evidence — the message id, the actual recipient, the actual timestamp, the window searched — so your client can audit any of them.

A contradicted claim posts to their Slack within seconds. Setup is one line pasted into a coding agent, or an SDK install for Python or TypeScript. Nothing about the workflow changes.

What you earn

30% of what a referred client pays, every month, for twelve months from their first payment. Recurring, not a one-off bounty, and paid out of money already received — so it continues while the client stays, which is what you want too.

Clients referredTheir planYou earn monthlyOver twelve months
3Team, $19$17.10$205
10Team, $19$57.00$684
10Business, $49$147.00$1,764
25Business, $49$367.50$4,410

No cap on how many clients you refer.

25% off your own subscription, for as long as you are an active partner. Your own workflows are usually the ones running unattended overnight, and the ones nobody is watching.

And you stop absorbing the cost of silent failures. When a client’s agent quietly does nothing for three weeks, the call comes to you, the investigation is unbilled, and the trust you spend getting it back is worth more than a year of commission.

A check is one claim verified against the outside system. A run where the agent claimed nothing is not a check and is never billed — clients pay for work done on their behalf, not for data shipped.

Free is a real tier, not a trial. Most clients will start there, and nobody buys a verification tool before seeing it catch something. Commission begins at a client’s first payment; extra checks count as payment too.

How it works

  1. You get a link. matrixverify.dev/r/YOURCODE. Put it in a proposal, a handover doc, your site, an email.
  2. Your client clicks it and signs up. The link records who sent them, once, when their account is created. It cannot be moved onto anyone else afterwards — a client you brought stays yours even if they click somebody else’s link next year.
  3. They connect the mailbox their agent sends from and paste one line into the agent. About ten minutes. You can do it as part of a handover, and most partners will.
  4. They upgrade when ready, and you are paid monthly from their first payment, for twelve months.

Ask any time for the list of your referrals and which are paying. A self-serve partner dashboard is not built yet.

Terms

These are the whole agreement. There is nothing else to sign.

Commission30% of what a referred client pays, excluding taxes. The first 10 founding partners keep 30% permanently; the standard rate afterwards is 25%. A rate change never applies to a partner who already has one.
DurationTwelve months per client, from that client’s first payment — not from the day you joined. A client referred in month ten still earns a full twelve months.
AttributionThe first partner link a person uses is recorded at account creation and never reassigned. If two partners claim a client, the record decides, and you can ask to see it.
PaymentMonthly, by bank transfer or PayPal, once your balance passes $50. Below that it carries forward. Paid within 15 days of month end.
ReversalsA refund or chargeback within 30 days reverses that month’s commission for that client. Nothing earned earlier is touched.
Self-referralYou cannot use your own code on your own account. Your discount is separate and does not expire.
Ending itEither side, 30 days’ notice, in writing. Commissions already running continue for their full twelve months.

What you agree not to do

  • Bid on “Matrix”, “matrixverify” or close variants in paid search.
  • Promise a client anything Matrix does not do. The limits below are there so you never have to guess.
  • Offer a discount, trial or term on Matrix’s behalf that is not written here.
  • Sign up on a client’s behalf without telling them, or enter their credentials yourself.

This is a referral arrangement, not employment, partnership or agency. You are not authorised to contract on Matrix’s behalf, and you invoice nothing to the client for Matrix — they pay Matrix directly.

What Matrix does not do yet

You are putting your name on this in front of a client, so here is everything that would otherwise be a surprise later.

  • Email is the only system checked today. If the action that matters is a Slack message, a CRM update, a payment or a database write, Matrix cannot verify it yet — it reports inconclusive rather than guessing. More systems are being added.
  • One project per account. Every tier, including Business. A client running two agents keeps both in one project or signs up twice. Multiple projects per account is the next thing being built, and the checks a client pays for are counted per account already, so it will not change anyone’s bill.
  • “Sent” means the message is in the sent folder. Not that it was delivered, opened or acted on. Bounce handling is not built.
  • It checks whether the action happened, not whether it was any good. A rude email to the right person at the right time is a confirmed claim.
  • It is built by one person. You get answers from whoever wrote the code, usually within hours. You do not get a 24/7 rota, an SLA or a SOC 2 report. If your client’s procurement requires those, Matrix is not ready for them.

If any of this is a problem for a particular client, say so before referring them. A referral that turns into a complaint costs us both more than the commission is worth.

How to join

Email Matrixpartnerprogramme@gmail.com with your name, your agency, and the code you want in your link. You get the link the same day, along with your own 25% discount.

10 founding places are open at 30%. After those, the rate for new partners is 25%, and the people who joined at 30% keep it.

One request before you refer anyone: run Matrix on one of your own workflows first. Pick the one that runs overnight when nobody is watching. Ten minutes to set up, free, and within a week you will know whether this is worth putting your name on. If it is not, say why — that is more useful than a referral.
